With summer in full swing, the Texas heat is at its peak. It is crucial to remember never to leave children unattended in a hot vehicle, even for a brief moment.

This can lead to pediatric vehicular heatstroke, resulting in permanent disability or death.

Cars can heat up rapidly. The temperature inside a vehicle can increase by 19 °F in just 10 minutes and continues to rise, regardless of cracked windows.

Tragically, five children across the nation have already lost their lives this year due to being left in hot vehicles.

If you see young children left alone in a vehicle for an extended period, especially in this heat and when the vehicle is not running, please contact the Waco Police Department immediately.

More information here.

Louisville, KY – Authorities in Louisville are appealing to the public for assistance in locating a suspect vehicle involved in a shooting incident that occurred on Saturday, June 22, 2024, in the 2500 block of West Broadway near Club H2O.

Police believe the vehicle in question is a light-colored Chevrolet Tahoe, likely a model from 2007 to 2014.
