]]>“Am I nervous when [my father is] watching me on stage? I don’t know yet. Maybe. I might not even be thinking about it because I’m thinking about the notes from my director,” John said on Wednesday. “I don’t know if I have time to be nervous about what he thinks.” Although his busy schedule keeps him from worrying about what his father will think about his performance, he admitted that he does often think about some valuable lessons Washington taught him.
“The freedom to fail, to find out, flourish in that failure. In that being uncomfortable, you’ll find the greatest parts of yourself as an artist,” the Ballersalum said of what he has learned from his father. John will star alongside Oscar nominee Samuel L. Jackson and The Color Purple star Danielle Brooks in The Piano Lesson. The play is directed by Jackson’s wife, LaTanya Richardson Jackson, and John revealed that working on the project has been a very educational experience. I feel like I’m in grad school,” he said. “This is an education for me. I feel like I’m becoming a different artist, an artist that I’ve been wanting to be.”
The play, which will officially open on October 13, will feature John portraying the character of Boy Willie, the role originated by Jackson when The Piano Lessonpremiered at the Yale Repertory Theatre in 1987. The actor, who had a brief NFL career before choosing to pursue acting, revealed that performing in the Pulitzer Prize-winning play is not so different from his work on the football field. He’s been having “sleepless nights” as his first night on Broadway quickly approaches, John revealed.
“I’m having a good time, but—like I said before—it feels like training camp. These hours you put in, and just drilling it, you know? There’s a saying I go by: ‘Averages practice until they get it right; professionals practice until they can’t get it wrong,'” he said. “So what does getting it right mean? It means the truth of it. To tell [my performance] fully and truthfully within the rules of the great writer August Wilson.”

]]>In the video, Irwin asks her daughter to point towards her Grandpa Crocodile and Bunny— Steve and Terri Irwin’s endearing nicknames given by their family— as well as the koala. Sharing the touching video on her socials, Grace wrote, “Tears in my eyes as I share this video. We call my mum and dad, Bunny and Grandpa Crocodile with Grace. She loves them (and koalas) dearly. On every zoo walk she searches for pictures of her grandparents and it is beyond beautiful.”
The clip touched hundreds of people who took to the comment section to praise Irwin for finding beautiful ways to pay tribute to her later father. “Why did I just cry my eyes out!!! So beautiful…. I just love her. We all still hold Steve close in our hearts too, lil mate,” wrote one. Another shared, “I can’t handle this, I’m so incredibly grateful for your whole family and all the work you do for our planet and the animals.”
“I’m telling you Bindi, Grace 100% knows exactly who he is. I have no doubt in my heart he spent time with her in heaven before God sent her to your womb,” a third chimed in. Earlier this year, Irwin shared a throwback picture of herself with her famed crocodile hunter father to observe what would have been his 60th birthday.
“Happy Birthday to the greatest dad and Wildlife Warrior,” read the Instagram post. “Today I’ll watch ‘The Crocodile Hunter’ with Grace Warrior and share stories about her incredible Grandpa Crocodile. I love you with all my heart. Your legacy lives on.”

]]>Saget was described as one of the kindest people ever by those who knew him. And now, the police reveal the cause of death.
“Now that we have the final conclusions from the authorities’ investigation, we felt it only proper that the fans hear those conclusions directly from us,” Saget’s family wrote in a statement.
As mentioned, the police said that there was no foul play regarding the death of Bob Saget. Law enforcement saw signs pointing to a sudden medical emergency, such as a heart attack or a stroke. Now, authorities have revealed the cause of death.
According to a new statement from his family, Bob Saget died due to head trauma. Authorities have determined that the actor accidentally hit the back of his head on something, which left him with head trauma. No pills or alcohol were involved, the family concluded, as reported by NPR.
Earlier, law enforcement saw signs pointing to a sudden medical emergency, such as a heart attack or a stroke.
On Sunday morning, Saget was supposed to check out from his hotel room at the Ritz in Florida. But, when his family members couldn’t reach him, they contacted hotel security.
The family further added that they have been “overwhelmed with the incredible outpouring of love from Bob’s fans, which has been a great comfort to us and for which we are eternally grateful.”
“As we continue to mourn together, we ask everyone to remember the love and laughter that Bob brought to this world, and the lessons he taught us all: to be kind to everyone, to let the people you love know you love them, and to face difficult times with hugs and laughter,” Saget’s family added in the statement.
“Now that we have the final conclusions from the authorities’ investigation, we felt it only proper that the fans hear those conclusions directly from us.”

]]>King, 51, shared her only son, Alexander Jr., with her ex-husband, Ian Alexander Sr. For the actress, her successful career was nothing compared to the joy she felt for her dear son.
Ian was her biggest source of pride as she previously told the outlet that he was “an amazing man.” She added, “You don’t know what unconditional love is. You may say you do, but if you don’t have a child, you don’t know what that is. When you experience it, it’s the most fulfilling [thing] ever.”
The deceased followed in his record producer dad’s footsteps as he was a deejay. He was extremely close to his mother and even honored her with a touching Instagram post last year on King’s 50th birthday.
“Happy birthday to my co, so extremely proud of you and inspired by your love, artistry, and gangsta! To be able to watch you take this lifetime by its neck and make it yours is something I will forever be grateful for,” read the post.
“But to have you as my mother is the greatest gift I could ask for. To be all that you are while always having the time to be there, love, and support me unconditionally is truly remarkable.
The whole marvel universe ain’t got s— on you, your the real superhero! Love you, mom! This day and every day YO DAY!!” it continued. The two were so close that they even got matching tattoos that read, “unconditional love” in Aramaic. While Ian got it inked on his shoulder, his mom chose to display it on her arm.
During an interview on The View in 2017, King opened up about the tattoo saying, “We were taking Kabbalah classes. He said, let’s choose three [designs] each and not tell each other which ones they are and whichever one is matching, that’s the one we’re going to get tattooed — and we both chose unconditional love.” King was often seen on the red carpet alongside her son, including her Golden Globes appearance in 2019 where Ian called her “super mom.”
“She’s just a super mom,” he previously told E! News. “She doesn’t really let bad work days or anything come back and ruin the time that we have. It’s really awesome to have a mother who I can enjoy spending time with.” Even back then King shared that her son made her “happier than anything in the whole world.” Sadly, she lost him too early.

]]>The post Beware of the cold, your pets may not be safe as you think appeared first on Louisville News Journal.
]]>Even though our pets have fur to keep them warm, the Kentucky Humane Society offers these tips for pet owners to keep their pets safe and warm.
The first recommendation is, if you can, bring them inside. The old rule is, if it’s too cold outside for you, it’s too cold for them.
“It doesn’t take long for a pet to get frostbite in subfreezing temperatures,” the humane society said on their website.
Another tip is to keep them warm with additional layers or covers.
Make sure that their beds are placed in a warm part of your home and cover them with a blanket overnight.
The humane society said puppies and small dogs may not tolerate the cold as well as larger, adult breeds. You may need to train puppies to use the bathroom on paper pads inside rather than going outdoors.
Also, you must be careful when playing outside in the snow. Spilled anti-freeze could taste sweet to animals, but it is highly toxic, so be aware of your surroundings. Wipe your dog’s feet as salt and chemical melting products on the roads could cling to their fur and paws.
And last, but not least, if you have cats in your community that are unowned, make sure that they have warm shelter, food and unfrozen water. Keep in mind that they like to hide under the hood of the car, as they find it warm, so make sure you give them a warning to get out before you start the engine.
